Tell us about your experience as a resident at Spring Harbor. What made this community stand out when you were making the decision to move into a senior living community?
My first introduction to Spring Harbor was at a Christmas Open House. The friendliness of staff and residents impressed me very much. It gave me a safe feeling of a self-contained neighborhood. I appreciate the freedom of feeling safe and knowing I can enjoy being with friends without leaving the building but still be able to have privacy of my own home.
What are your favorite things to do at Spring Harbor and around Columbus?
I love going to the River Center for wonderful music by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Schwob School of Music and our bus transportation makes it more pleasant. Our Resident Services Team provides us with so many free things to do it’s like being on a Cruise Ship! What’s there not to like?
Tell us about some stand-out staff members that make your experience at Spring Harbor better.
Two really special people are Pam Rojas and Chasity Sanders at the Concierge’s Desk. Another is Kim Lightsey, our Resident Advocate. There’s Wayne, so prompt with our mechanical help and always helpful Leon with any maintenance help. Betty Cozart makes the Dining Room a special place to enjoy a meal! Also our Executive Director, Shane McDougall, works constantly to keep us all safe and happy... and he cares about us.
